About the company
Salto is a craft brewery in Belgrade; the legal entity, Pivara Salto d.o.o., was registered in 2015 and is based on Patrijarha Dimitrija Street in the Rakovica district. Around 2013 the founders began brewing small batches for friends, inspired by Belgian beer culture. For the first two years Salto beers were brewed to the brewery's recipes at breweries in Belgium; since 2018 all of them have been brewed at its own brewery in Belgrade. The core range is Pale Ale, Belgrade IPA, Wit (a wheat beer with Curaçao orange peel and coriander), Lager and Stout. Pale Ale and Wit are unfiltered and unpasteurised. According to the World Beer Awards results, Salto Stout was named World's Best Oatmeal Stout in 2021. The brewery has a dedicated sales line for businesses, so restaurants, cafés and bars can order beer directly from the producer.
