SO2 is a natural wine distributor based in Pigneto, Rome. The name refers to sulphur dioxide: most of the wines it lists are made without added sulphites, by growers who avoid synthetic products in the vineyard and the cellar. Its distribution list covers around fifty Italian and European producers, including Valli Unite, Denavolo, Cascina Roera, Podere Sassi, Sa Defenza, Alfredo Maestro, Vinos Ambiz and André Beaufort, plus a small selection of spirits and liqueurs. It began as a small neighbourhood distributor and later opened a wine bar and shop on the same street, where it holds tastings and producer events. For restaurants, cafés and bars it offers a list of natural wines from small producers, which can be tasted first at its wine bar.
