Piljan Komerc is a family company from Boljevci, in Belgrade's Surčin municipality, that raises broilers, slaughters chickens and produces chicken meat and chicken products. It started in 1999 as a small craft slaughterhouse. Today it covers the whole chain from farm to finished product and employs more than 150 people. The farm is ISO 22000 certified and production follows the FSSC 22000 standard. The range covers fresh chicken, frankfurters, salami, sausages, smoked and semi-prepared products, and roast chicken. The company runs its own shops and says on its website that it works with more than 2,000 business customers, KFC among them. It offers restaurants, cafés and bars chicken meat and products straight from the producer.
